We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced creative Bartender manager – Able to come up with its own creative cocktails aiming to support our French fine dining restaurant Villa Coucou in The Hague.

Your knowledge and experience helps you to work on your own half of the year. In high season being able to train and delegate to a part time bartending support. Our staff on the floor is led by Edouard. Together with our Chef Alexandre, Villa Coucou’s team ensures a high-quality service for personalized service, with a eye for details in dining including cocktails at Franky’s Bar. This experience aims to make guests return as friends of the Villa. With passion, knowledge and experience, it is our goal to eventually earn a Michelin Star for Villa CouCou.

What will you do
With passion, patience and perseverance you create the ultimate dining experience before or after guests come for dinner but also independently for our guests cocktail lovers coming to Franky’s bar for afterwork drinks. You are able to draw from your guests preferences, co-creations of the moment, and also make your own cocktail list base on changes of our kitchen to even have some pairings with our menus designed by you! A solid foundation on knowledge around spirits and basics on wines are paramount too. You ensure collegial and clear communication between you and the rest of the team on the floor, speaking English fluently.
You know how to organise your work and prepare your mise en place, cost calculations and marketing content around for our socials too. Responsible for the service of Cocktails in our wine cellar and garden too, running support is provided in high season.

Head Waitress / Waiter

We are looking for a skilled Head Waiter whom can uphold our high standard of level of service, to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our guests. The right Server uplifts the dining experience for guests. We are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role.

For us a successful Head Waiter, is polite with our customers and make sure they enjoy their meals. You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with our kitchen staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.

Server responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill.

If you are able to perform well in fast-paced environments, we’d like to meet you.

Salary indication €2300.
About €400 tips a month per person excluded of the salary to consider.

Key Requirements:
– Proven restaurant serving or waiter experience in fine dining
– Hands-on experience in cashier duties
– Attention to cleanliness and safety
– Patience and customer-oriented approach
– Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
– Responsible and trustworthy
– Fluency in English required. Speaking Dutch and/or French is a plus
– Wine knowledge required for the pairings
– Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
– Up-sell additional products when appropriate
– Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
– Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
– Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
